On the merits of reading

Praise be to Allah, Lord of all creation. We thank Him, seek His help, guidance and forgiveness. I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah Alone, having no partners. I also testify that our Master Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger, who came after a period of [suspension] of messengers. Allah sent him to enlighten the minds and guide people to the right path. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his family, his Companions, and all those who will follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.

As to what follows, please obey Allah, may Glory be to Him, as He says, “And fear Allah. And Allah teaches you. And Allah is Knowing of all things.” (Al Baqara: 282).

Dear Believers,

Allah has bestowed upon us existence, but He made our life restricted in span. It remains short no matter how much it lasts. For this reason the holy Quran urges us to invest in our time by doing good deeds so as to benefit ourselves and nation. And reading is one of the beneficial acts to busy ourselves with. Because of its importance in life, it was the first thing revealed to the Prophet pbuh as Allah says, “Recite in the name of your Lord who created – created man from a clinging substance. Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous – who taught by the pen – taught man that which he knew not.” (Al Alaq: 1-5).

Dear Servants of Allah,

Reading is thus a delight for the soul and a feed for the thought. Therefore you are invited to read beneficial knowledge and acquire useful books. The best book of all is the holy Quran. Allah the Almighty says, “So recite what is easy from it.” (Al Muzammil: 20). On the same matter, the Prophet pbuh said, “Recite the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its readers on the Day of Resurrection.”

It is the inscribed book for understanding what Allah, may Glory be to Him, has availed in this universe, from land, air, environment to space. Whoever reads the Quran and ponders its meanings will go deeply in understanding its verses, indicating the all knowledge of the Creator as well as his wisdom and might.

Allah the most Exalted says, “We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.”

Reading the Prophetic Hadiths and tradition as well as those of scholars and the pious is also a rich source for attaining knowledge. They contain a wealth of lessons that they can be alternative to many other books and records. It was reported that it was said to Ibn al Mubarak: “O Abdulrahman, what if you go out and sit with your friends.” He said, “When at home, I am sitting with the Prophet Muhammad pbuh’s companions,” meaning reading books.

Dear Muslims,

Reading is the key to harness sciences, master skills, learn religious teachings and acquire the knowledge and heritage of former and later peoples. It is no wonder then that it is a reason for elevating the status of man either in his lifetime or after his death. Allah the most exalted says, “Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” (Al Mujadala: 11).

In another place in the Quran, the high value of reading is highlighted in the account of the youth of the cave, who kept a book with them: “Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?” (Al Kahf: 9). About them (the youth and the inscription), Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the inscription with them at the cave was their code of law.

This point to the importance of taking and reading books in all of one’s actions as was the case with early Muslims. Well aware of this, they rolled up their sleeves and sought to combat literacy by studying and learning. It was not uncommon amongst them to advise each other before travel to read books during their journey saying, “help yourself overcome the solitude of being away from home by reading books. They are speaking tongues and seeing eyes.”

Al Khalil Ibn Ahmad al Farahidi, the founder of al Arud (the study of Arabic prosody), said, “anything I heard, I wrote and memorised. And anything I memorised had benefitted me.” During his life, he was an avid reader and passionate about learning.

A scholar said to his friends, “please know that knowledge comes and go, so make books its protector and pens its guardian.” Their readings yielded beneficial knowledge, which was recorded in books of various forms and types.

Dear Believers,

You are advised to read different kinds of sciences and texts as there are a large number of materials translated into Arabic, making knowledge conveniently available in our mother tongue.

This is accentuated by the evolution of reading tools, which are no longer the preserve of conventional mediums: books, journals, magazines and so on. Reading has become electronic through the Internet and other similar mediums, featuring varied knowledge content that feeds the souls and thoughts.

The new reading facilities save time and effort and take us to the age of smart communication solutions, invented by people who invested well in reading. So strive hard in reading beneficial sciences and encourage your children to follow whatever new and useful. You need also to give some of your time to reading, daily and weekly.

With this in mind, May Allah also protect us all and help us to obey Him, His Prophet Muhammad pbuh, and those He has ordained upon us to obey pursuant to His injunctions: “O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you.”(Annisaa: 59).

May Allah direct us all to the blessings of the Glorious Quran and benefit us all in whatever is in it of the Ayat and the Wise Dhikr. I say this and ask Allah the Great, the Most Honoured for forgiveness for me, you and all the Muslims for every sin, so invoke Him for forgiveness, for He is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Second sermon

Praise be to Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity but Him, having no associates. I also bear witness that our Master Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger, may the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions and all those who will follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.

As to what follows, please obey Allah duly and be aware that nations progress through reading and knowledge, without which life is meaningless. That is why Allah swore by their tools: the pen. He the Almighty says, “Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe,” (Nun: 1) highlighting the high status of writing.

In this spirit, the UAE’s wise leadership has established schools, universities, scientific academies and libraries, and afforded reading facilities by, for example, organising book fairs every year. So let us make the book our companion in order to contribute to our beloved nation.

Dear Servants of Allah

Allah has asked you to abide by an order He has been the first to undertake, then His angels, for He says, “Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.” (Al Ahzab: 56).

The Prophet pbuh said, “for everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah.” May the peace and the blessings of Allah be upon our Master Muhammad pbuh, his family and all his Companions.

O Allah, we seek Your favour to bless us with beneficial knowledge, let our hearts be full of Your gratitude and keep our tongue moist with Your remembrance. May Allah bless us with good provision, accepted work, well-being in mind and body and blessed living life and progeny.

May Allah be pleased with the Rightly Guided Caliphs and all those who will follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.

O Allah guide us to know what is good, make us benefit from what we have learnt, and increase our knowledge.

O Allah, Give us piety and purify our souls. You are the Master and the Lord of souls. O Sustainer, amend our intentions, grant that our spouses and our offspring be a joy to our eyes and make success be an ally to us.

O Allah, we implore You at this instant not to let a sin unforgiven, a distress unrelieved, an illness unhealed or a handicapped without relief, a dead without mercy or a debt unsettled. Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.

May Allah grant our leader HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his Deputy, HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, success and provide strength and assistance to his brothers, Their Highness The Rulers of the Emirates, and his trustworthy Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

O Allah, forgive all of the Muslims, men and women, living and dead, and make blessings follow us and them. May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Maktoum and all their brothers, the Late UAE Sheikhs. O Lord, forgive and show mercy, You are the Ever Merciful and there is no strength or power save with Allah, the High, the Great.

We pray to Allah, the Most Gracious, to continue blessing the UAE and all Muslim countries with safety and security.

O servants of Allah, remember Allah and He will remember you. Be grateful for His benevolence He will increase His blessings to you. Allah, the Most High, says, “And establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.” (Al Ankaboot: 45).

    

     الخُطْبَةُ الأُولَى

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَالَمِينَ، نَحْمَدُهُ سبحانَهُ ونستعينُهُ ونستهديهِ ونستغفرُهُ، وأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ سيدَنَا ونبيَّنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَرَسُولُهُ، جاءَ علَى فترةٍ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ، فأنارَ اللهُ بهِ العقولَ، وهدَى بهِ الناسَ إلَى صراطٍ مستقيمٍ، فاللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وسلِّمْ وبارِكْ علَى سيدِنَا محمدٍ وعلَى آلِهِ وصحبِهِ أجمعينَ،

.

ومَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بإحسانٍ إلَى يومِ الدِّينِ.

أمَّا بعدُ: فأُوصِيكُمْ عبادَ اللهِ ونفسِي بتقوَى اللهِ عزَّ وجلَّ، قالَ تعالَى:] وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ[([1])

أيُّهَا المؤمنونَ: لَقَدْ أنْعَمَ اللهُ تعالَى علينَا بنعمَةِ الوُجُودِ، وجَعلَ حياتَنَا مُقيَّدةً بعُمرٍ معدودٍ، وزمَنٍ محدودٍ، والعُمرُ مهمَا طالَ فهُوَ قصيرٌ، والزمَنُ مهمَا امتدَّ فهُوَ يسيرٌ، ولذلكَ حثَّنَا القرآنُ الكريمُ علَى استثمارِ أوقاتِنَا بالعملِ الصالِحِ، الذِي يعودُ علينَا وعلَى أوطانِنَا بالخيرِ والنماءِ، ومِنْ هذهِ الأعمالِ الصالحةِ القراءةُ، فهِيَ مِنْ أعظمِ مَا تُغتنَمُ بِهَا الساعاتُ، وتُستَثْمَرُ فيهَا الأوقاتُ، ولأهميةِ القراءةِ فِي الحياةِ أمرَ اللهُ سبحانَهُ بِهَا رسولَهُ r فِي أوَّلِ مَا نزلَ مِنَ الآياتِ، قالَ تعالَى:] اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ* خَلَقَ الإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ* اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الأَكْرَمُ * الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ* عَلَّمَ الإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ[([2])

عبادَ اللهِ: والقراءةُ مُتعَةٌ للنفْسِ وغِذاءٌ للعقلِ، فيُقرَأُ العلمُ النافِعُ، ويُقتنَى الكتابُ الْمُفيدُ، وخيرُ كتابٍ يقرؤُهُ المسلمُ القرآنُ الكريمُ، قالَ اللهُ تعالَى:] فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ القُرْآنِ[([3]) وقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ r :« اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعاً لأَصْحَابِهِ»([4]). فالقرآنُ الكريمُ هُوَ الكتابُ المسطورُ، لِفَهْمِ مَا بثَّهُ اللهُ تعالَى فِي هذَا الكونِ الْمَنظورِ، مِنْ أرضٍ وسماءٍ، وبيئةٍ وهواءٍ، وفلكٍ وفضاءٍ، فمَنْ قرأَ كتابَ اللهِ وتدبَّرَ فِي معانِيهِ أبْحَرَ فِي آياتِهِ، التِي تَدُلُّ علَى معرفةِ الخالِقِ وعظمتِهِ، وسعةِ علمِهِ وحكمتِهِ عزَّ وجلَّ، قالَ اللهُ تعالَى:] سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الحَقُّ[([5])

وكذلكَ قراءةُ أحاديثِ النبِيِّ r وسيرتِهِ، وسِيَرِ العلماءِ والصالحينَ، فإنَّ فِي مطالعةِ تلكَ الأخبارِ غُنْيَةً عَنْ قراءةِ كثيرٍ مِنَ الكُتُبِ والأسفارِ لِمَا فيهَا مِنَ الدروسِ والعِبَرِ، قِيلَ لابنِ المبارَكِ: يَا أبَا عبدِ الرحمنِ، لَوْ خرجْتَ فجلسْتَ معَ أصحابِكَ، قالَ: إنِّي إذَا كُنتُ فِي المنْزِلِ جالسْتُ أصحابَ رسولِ اللهِ محمدٍ r([6]). يعنِي قراءةَ الكُتبِ.

أيهَا المسلمونَ: إنَّ القراءةَ مفتاحُ العلمِ وسبيلُهُ، وبِهَا تُكتسَبُ المعارفُ والمهاراتُ، وتُعرفُ بِهَا أحكامُ الدينِ، وعلومُ الأولينَ والآخرينَ، وأحوالُ السابقينَ واللاحقينَ، فلاَ عجبَ أَنْ تكونَ سبباً لرفعةِ الإنسانِ فِي الحياةِ وبعدَ المماتِ، قالَ اللهُ تعالَى:] يَرْفَعِ اللهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ[([7]).

ومِمَّا يُشعِرُ بقيمةِ القراءةِ وضرورتِهَا، ورفعةِ قدْرِهَا وعزَّةِ شأنِهَا، أنَّ القرآنَ الكريمَ بَيَّنَ فِي حديثِهِ عَنْ أصحابِ الكهفِ أنَّ الكتابَ كانَ رفيقَهُمْ، قالَ تعالَى:] أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا مِنْ آيَاتِنَا عَجَباً[([8]) قالَ ابنُ عباسٍ رضيَ اللهُ عنهُمَا: الرقِيمُ كتابٌ كانَ عندَهُمْ فيهِ الشرْعُ الذِي تَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ([9]).

وفِي هذَا إشارةٌ إلَى أهميةِ القراءةِ واصطحابِ الكتابِ فِي الحلِّ والترحالِ، وفِي الحضَرِ والسفَرِ، كمَا كانَ حالُ المسلمينَ الأوائلِ، الذينَ أدركُوا ذلكَ، فشمَّرُوا عَنْ ساعدِ الجدِّ في مَحْوِ أُمِّيَّتِهِمْ، تعَلُّماً وقراءةً وكتابةً، حتَّى كانَ أحدُهُمْ يُوصِي صديقَهُ قبلَ السفرِ، فيقولُ: اسْتَعِنْ علَى وَحْشَةِ الغُربَةِ بقراءةِ الكُتُبِ، فإنَّهَا أَلْسُنٌ ناطِقةٌ، وعُيونٌ رامقَةٌ([10]).

وكانَ الخليلُ بنُ أحمدَ -مُؤسِّسُ علمِ العروضِ- يقولُ: ما سمعْتُ شيئًا إلاَّ كتبتُهُ ولاَ كتبتُهُ إلاَّ حفظتُهُ ومَا حفظتُهُ إلاَّ نفعنِي([11]). فكانَ كثيرَ القراءةِ والاطلاعِ.

ومِمَّا أَوْصَى بهِ أحدُ العلماءِ أصحابَهُ أنَّهُ قالَ: اعلمُوا رحمكُمُ اللهُ أنَّ هذَا العلمَ يَنِدُّ كمَا تَنِدُّ الإبلُ([12]) فاجعَلُوا الكتُبَ لهُ حُماةً، والأقلامَ عليهِ رُعاةً([13]). فانظُرُوا كيفَ أثْمَرَتْ قراءتُهُمْ علماً نافعاً، وجُهداً رائعاً، سجَّلُوهُ فِي كُتُبِهِمْ ومصنفاتِهِمْ ومُؤلفاتِهِمْ.

أيهَا المؤمنونَ: ويَحسُنُ بالمسلمِ القراءةُ فِي شتَّى أصنافِ العلومِ والمعارفِ والإدارةِ، فهناكَ عددٌ كبيرٌ مِنَ الكُتبِ تُرْجِمَ مِنْ لُغاتِ العالَمِ المختلفةِ إلَى العربيةِ فأضْحَتِ المعرفةُ عربيًّةً وبيْنَ أيدِينَا، وقَدْ تطوَّرَتْ وسائلُ القراءةِ فِي هذَا الزمانِ، فلَمْ تَعُدْ حِكراً علَى المجلداتِ، أَوْ الكتبِ والمجلاتِ، بَلْ أصبحَتِ القراءةُ الإلكترونيةُ وتصفحُ الإنترنتِ ومطالعةُ الرسائلِ النصيةِ مِنَ النوافذِ المعرفيَّةِ التِي تُغَذِّي العقولَ والأرواحَ، وتختصِرُ لنَا الزمانَ والجهدَ والمكانَ، وتنقلُنَا إلَى عصْرِ الاتصالاتِ الذكيةِ والسريعةِ التِي اخترَعَهَا عقلُ الإنسانِ الذِي نجحَ فِي استثمارِ القراءةِ استثمارًا جيدًا.

فاجتهدُوا عبادَ اللهِ فِي الإقبالِ علَى قراءةِ كُلِّ علمٍ مُفيدٍ، وشجِّعُوا أبناءَكُمْ علَى مُطالعةِ كُلِّ نافعٍ وجديدٍ، وتخصيصِ ساعاتٍ يوميةٍ، وأوقاتٍ أسبوعيةٍ للقراءةِ.

اللَّهم وَفِّقنَا جميعًا لطاعتِكَ وطاعةِ رسولِكَ محمدٍ r وطاعةِ مَنْ أمَرْتَنَا بطاعتِهِ، عملاً بقولِكَ:] يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ[([14])

نفعَنِي اللهُ وإياكُمْ بالقرآنِ العظيمِ، وبِسنةِ نبيهِ الكريمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم،

أقولُ قولِي هذَا وأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِي ولكُمْ، فاستغفِرُوهُ إنَّهُ هوَ الغفورُ الرحيمُ.

الخطبةُ الثانيةُ

الحَمْدُ للهِ رب العالمين، وأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ سيدَنَا مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَرَسُولُهُ، اللَّهُمَّ صلِّ وسلِّمْ وبارِكْ علَى سيدِنَا محمدٍ وعلَى آلِهِ وصحبِهِ أجمعينَ، ومَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بإحسانٍ إلَى يومِ الدِّينِ .

أمَّا بعدُ: فاتقُوا اللهَ عبادَ اللهِ حقَّ التقوَى، واعلمُوا أنَّ الأُممَ ترقَى بالقراءةِ والعِلْمِ، وأنَّ الحياةَ بلاَ قراءةٍ وتعلُّمٍ لاَ قيمةَ لَهَا، ولذَا أقسَمَ اللهُ تعالَى بأدواتِ القراءةِ والكتابةِ كالقلمِ الذِي يُكتبُ بهِ أنواعُ العلومِ، ويُسْطَرُ بهِ المنثورُ والمنظومُ، فقالَ جلَّ وعلاَ:] ن وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ[([15]) مُنَوِّهاً بقيمةِ الكتابةِ مُعظِّماً لشأنِهَا. وقَدْ شيَّدَتْ دولتُنَا الرشيدةُ المدارسَ والجامعاتِ، وأسَّسَتِ المجامعَ العلميةَ والمكتباتِ، ووفَّرَتْ أسبابَ القراءةِ بإقامةِ معارضِ الكتابِ فِي كُلِّ عامٍ، فلْيَكُنْ كُلٌّ منَّا سَمِيرَ كتابٍ لِنُسهِمَ فِي بناءِ وطنِنَا العزيزِ.

عبادَ اللهِ: إنَّ اللهَ أمرَكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ بَدَأَ فيهِ بنفْسِهِ وَثَنَّى فيهِ بملائكَتِهِ فقَالَ  تَعَالَى:]إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا[([16]) وقالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ r:« مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ صَلاَةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بِهَا عَشْراً»([17])

اللَّهُمَّ صلِّ وسلِّمْ وبارِكْ علَى سيدِنَا ونبيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وعلَى آلِهِ وصحبِهِ أجمعينَ، وَارْضَ اللَّهُمَّ عَنِ الْخُلَفَاءِ الرَّاشِدِينَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِيٍّ وعَنْ سائرِ الصحابِةِ الأكرمينَ، وعَنِ التابعينَ ومَنْ تبعَهُمْ بإحسانٍ إلَى يومِ الدينِ.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وقَلْبًا خاشعاً، وَلِسَانًا ذَاكِرًا، ورِزْقًا طَيِّبًا واسعاً، وَعَمَلاً صالحاً مُتَقَبَّلاً، وعافيةً فِي البدنِ، وبركةً فِي العمرِ والذريةِ، اللَّهُمَّ علِّمْنَا مَا ينفَعُنَا، وانفَعْنَا بِمَا علَّمْتَنَا، وزِدْنَا علماً، اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نفوسَنَا تقوَاهَا، وزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خيرُ مَنْ زكَّاهَا، أنتَ وَلِيُّهَا ومولاَهَا، وأَحْسِنْ عاقبتَنَا فِي الأُمورِ كُلِّهَا، اللَّهُمَّ أصْلِحْ لَنِا نياتِنَا، وبارِكْ لَنَا فِي أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا وَاجْعَلْهم قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ لنَا، واجعَلِ التوفيقَ حليفَنَا، وارفَعْ لنَا درجاتِنَا، وزِدْ فِي حسناتِنَا، وكَفِّرْ عنَّا سيئاتِنَا، وتوَفَّنَا معَ الأبرارِ، اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَدَعْ لَنَا ذَنْبًا إِلاَّ غَفَرْتَهُ، وَلاَ هَمًّا إِلاَّ فَرَّجْتَهُ، ولاَ دَيْنًا إلاَّ قضيْتَهُ، وَلاَ مريضًا إلاَّ شفيْتَهُ، وَلاَ حَاجَةً إِلاَّ قَضَيْتَهَا ويسَّرْتَهَا يَا ربَّ العالمينَ، رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ.

اللَّهُمَّ وَفِّقْ وَلِيَّ أَمْرِنَا رَئِيسَ الدولةِ، الشَّيْخ خليفة وَنَائِبَهُ لِمَا تُحِبُّهُ وَتَرْضَاهُ، وَأَيِّدْ إِخْوَانَهُ حُكَّامَ الإِمَارَاتِ وَوَلِيَّ عَهْدِهِ الأَمِينَ.

اللَّهُمَّ اغفِرْ للمسلمينَ والمسلماتِ الأحياءِ منهُمْ والأمواتِ، اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمِ الشَّيْخ زَايِد، والشَّيْخ مَكْتُوم، وإخوانَهُمَا شيوخَ الإماراتِ الذينَ انتقلُوا إلَى رحمتِكَ، اللَّهُمَّ اشْمَلْ بعفوِكَ وغفرانِكَ ورحمتِكَ آباءَنَا وأمهاتِنَا وجميعَ أرحامِنَا ومَنْ كانَ لهُ فضلٌ علينَا.

اللَّهُمَّ أَدِمْ عَلَى دولةِ الإماراتِ الأَمْنَ والأَمَانَ وَعلَى سَائِرِ بِلاَدِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ.

اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ، وَاشكرُوهُ علَى نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ ]وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ[([18]).
